About his Art
With a background as a historian and archivist, he has managed a bookstore in Madrid for twenty years. He began photography in 2000, using only digital media. In over twenty years of activity, his photographic language has evolved from realism, then to social themes, then to street photography, and finally to a more experimental expression.
"If you don't like what you see, look at it differently," this phrase can summarize his concept of photography, which is always searching for beauty in the combinations of shapes and elements given by chance, and which appear in our daily lives even in trash, drops of paint, dumpsters, and objects of any kind, abandoned or broken.
The result is painterly photographs that, starting from what is smallest, dirtiest, and most insignificant, transcend into art forms ranging from hyper-realism, to impressionism, and abstract expressionism.
With his photos he has participated in exhibitions in Spain and Italy, among which we mention "Agujeros negros y huecos de la memoria," an interdisciplinary exhibition held in two editions (2020 and 2021) simultaneously in Rome and Madrid, and "Iberismos" at the Galleria Art G.A.P. in Rome in 2022.
