About Her Art - The Biography
Born in Milan on December 18, 1979, Nicoletta Russillo grew up in adversity and has always felt an inexplicable warm Light in her chest.
A thinking being, unconventional and nonconformist, she is anchored to Life and, without any academic indoctrination, learns to listen and observe, increasing her awareness.
She finds her identity in painting, the freedom to enter space, slow down time, letting herself be guided by the frequencies and waves of contemporary and classical music, following lights and shadows.
Nicoletta leaves her earthly physical state and uses the supports, materials, and colors available at that moment.
At any moment, but precisely at that moment.
Only in solitude, as with the "Hawthorne Effect," does she find the entrance to the Portal.
She is driven by the established awareness that the human being is made dormant by a sort of command that does not allow them to discover their true identity.
Her paintings demonstrate the infinity of the mind and heart, she lives the boundless and returns to her body when the work is finished.
She deifies the art of the great Masters, finding in her own distant Universe symbols and forms that allow her to be the message.
The Critique
The art of Nicoletta Russillo.
Talking about an artist is never easy because the critic writes a text based on the fruit of their work, which is something so personal, so subjective that it feels like reading the book of their life...
Nicoletta Russillo is an emerging artist but at the same time shows an ancient "sapientia".
In her works, what can immediately be glimpsed is a dynamism of forms that she impresses on the canvas, almost as if they were organic beings capable of multiplying and expanding as if they had a life of their own.
Painting what the eyes do not see.
Painting what the mind and heart feel....
The art of Nicoletta Russillo has its roots in that informal artistic movement of the '70s, but she has digested the teachings and the essence of that movement and offers us works that go far beyond futile comparisons or lexical transformations..
Over time, we will certainly hear about her because Nicoletta has many things to say to those who know how to listen.
