About His Art
Enzo Monterosso, born in Milan in 1958, has been inclined towards drawing and painting since a young age.
Self-taught, his first works came at the age of 15. Curious to learn, I absorbed art in all its forms.
Technique: in addition to the classic ones—oil or acrylic on canvas—I use mixed techniques with different materials such as resin, stucco, glue, plaster, fabric on wood, shells, sand. Research and experimentation have allowed me to achieve innovative chromatic and visual results, highly appreciated by the public.
In my works, water is the common denominator, as is a deep love for nature with its landscapes at sunset, sometimes as dreamlike visions in their indigo blues. In recent years of research, my art has evolved: the sea, the mountains, the oceans are seen from above, like a low-flying view over unspoiled landscapes where the transparency of the water meets the land.
