About his Art

About her..
I have been working as a therapist in Rome for almost forty years, where I also run growth workshops on the themes of women's inner suffering and experiential mandala therapy groups.
I graduated at the age of twenty in Milan in Philosophy, then in Rome in Psychology, and later specialized as a Jungian psychoanalyst in Hillmanian archetypal psychology, as my books recount. I have developed a great interest in Eastern philosophies, both in Tibetan Buddhism dzogchen and in Japanese Zen Buddhism, and I practice Tai chi as an inner discipline.
I am a great traveler and have visited the most extreme places in the world, which I recount in my blog Travel, Spirituality and Well-being ®.
I paint Mandalas, which I also use as a clinical tool in therapies and groups.
I am the author of several clinical psychology essays for Franco Angeli Editore.
Her Biography
I am a self-taught artist specialized in creating Mandalas for about 20 years. Mandalas are geometric figures endowed with a powerful symbolic charge: the circle that characterizes them is a shape that brings order to both the internal and external world. Since I am also a Jungian psychologist, for me the Mandala is the idea of a center of personality, to which everything is connected and which is a source of energy. My works represent the diary of my soul; each image tells a specific moment, and I express what my soul feels through acrylic colors and additional materials such as gold and silver powder, stones, fabrics, pearls, Swarovski crystals, and various collages. My process begins with a specific emotion, which evokes a series of colors and symbols in an associative process that translates into works that are at the same time movement and pause. In addition to the warm and dominant acrylic tones, I often add other materials to my geometric and floral paintings. I use different narrative symbols to translate the language of the unconscious and the emotional context of the works becomes the connection with the viewer. Each painting resonates suggestively even though it comes from a very personal place, my unconscious. In fact, that mysterious generative source adds power to each canvas, creating an extraordinarily intimate and powerful connection with the observer. When I paint I find peace – an exciting moment similar to meditation. The unconscious speaks and pushes me to create not only what I had planned, bringing me to another unexpected level that takes me by surprise. So every time I paint a new image, I clear my mind and find peace in my heart. But I do not like to travel only within my soul because I really enjoy getting to know different countries and cultures, so I have visited the world: United Arab Emirates, Oman, Jordan, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Myanmar, China, Europe. Thus my paintings are a mixture of languages and symbols of different peoples and my works are a cultural melting pot. In my canvases, organic, figurative forms are thus combined with geometric shapes and abstract designs that evoke traditions such as Ottoman mosaics and Art Deco architecture. By digging into our collective unconscious, I find the buried treasure that has a great emotional effect on my audience.
