About her Art
Irena Krizman (born in Zadar Croatia, living in U.K) is a printmaker and multimedia music video artist whose work combines traditional printmaking techniques with digital technology.
She studied at the Fine Arts Academy in Venice in the Painting class of C. Zotti and E. Finci and specialized in printmaking at several universities in the UK: Newcastle University, Northumbria University and at Media Photo Print Department Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Irena has been a member of various print studios including Northern Print, Edinburgh Printmakers and most recent Thames Side Print Studios in London and participated in number of workshops for example at Scuola Grafica Internazionale, Venice, Italy.
Her work has been recognized by art historian and art critic Gail Nina Anderson and is part of collections like The Northumbria University School Collection.
She has exhibited at numerous galleries including Hatton Gallery, Gallery of Northumbria University, Gateshead Library, Newcastle Literary and Philosophical Society, Northern Print with Hotbed Press, Manchester, Atkison Gallery, VANE Gallery, Old Church Cardiff, Southbank Printmakers, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair with Thames Side Printmaking Studio, Bankside Gallery (International Original Print 2019, International Original Print 2024) and most recent solo show at The Lounge Gallery at Thames Side Studios , London November 2024 :
