Sulla sua Arte

I was born in San Diego, CA but only by birth as my father was temporarily stationed there during the Korean war. He was in the Navy, but we lived on the base in Grand Prairie, Tx. I've been to CA only once since, when I was 14 years old due to my father working as a comedian and having a lot of work in CA and Las Vegas. In the Navy my dad learned to become a gun smith, so I actually assisted in building guns and making moulds in our kitchen oven.
We were transferred up to Chicago in the 1960s, and my dad was performing /on Ed Sullivan, Merv Griffen, and Johnny Carson's shows. I travelled US, Canada and England. I have a brother who became a famous commercial artist in the pharmaceutical advertising industry. He has since had to take on a pen name, even though he retired at age 45, because he is not allowed to use his own name due to contracts. He still does art and returned to his first love, playing the drums and travels with four different bands.
I got swallowed up in life, with illness, RA; and just life in general. I've always been absorbed in art. Fascinated with everything. Drawing while sick in bed and painting when I got hold of a brush or anything I could hold paint with. I married and was a makeup artist and involved in theater when I could. My home is empty now as my daughter has her own life and we have beautiful grandchildren. Now, it is my turn to do my art. I feel strong and empowered and the fascination is only bigger. I love animals and nature. God has been good. Our planet is beautiful. Every brushstroke comes with love.
