Her Biography
Doris Anderson, a visual artist, grew up in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. After several moves and international travel, she now creates from her home studio in the lower mainland of British Columbia and in the Parker St. Studios of Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
In 2012, she enrolled with Laara WilliamSen, International Professional Painter, operating the LW School of Art in South Surrey, B.C., and there she delved into pursuing her love of art by taking regular private tutorial classes.
For the past nine years Doris Anderson has created hundreds of abstract paintings and she has successfully exhibited and sold both locally and internationally.
In 2021, Doris Anderson’s paintings received the 43rdArtavita Finalist Award, California, U.S.A. In 2020 and 2021 her artwork was juried into the ArtBox Project at the Swiss ART EXPO., Zurich, Switzerland. She was also awarded, in 2019, a Certificate of Excellence at the Circle Foundation for the Arts in New York.
In 2022 she has been represented by the Amsterdam Whitney Art Gallery, Chelsea, New York, New York, U.S.A. and attended the CHELSEA METAVERSE MASTERS EXHIBITION in February 2022.
Doris Anderson has exhibited in nine solo shows and seventy-one group art exhibitions, both locally and internationally. Her artworks are held in private collections around the world.
