His Biography
Born in 1984 in Mulhouse, I grew up and anchored myself between industry and untamed nature. Self-taught and versatile, my sculptures, combining different materials such as steel or resin, illustrate the duality between the tangible and the intangible and question the place of life in the face of the transcendent and ever evolving universe, from a fundamentally human perspective.
My purpose as an artist stems from emotion. At this precise moment, a universe is created. This inner eruption makes its way from introspection to sharing, inviting thinking out of the box.
I believe that this big bang, this chaos, is essential to our evolving and allows us to initiate an intimate approach to change. As far as I’m concerned, life is a perpetual movement that has the magic of being unexplained and simply must be experienced
The French Egg When I made The French Egg, I wanted to create a work that reflected the mirror effect. The egg carved on a cast iron pan, all folded in half, is representative of duality with ourselves. The boundary that separates the egg from itself is very fine but necessary for our evolution. Maybe the Big Bang is hidden there. Today it is not the hand of Man that holds it, but an invisible force that maintains it in the whole. Nicolas WAGNER
